Doors and fire hatches

Preventive fire safety measures, drawn up by current requirements, are designed to minimize risks, and protect people and property in the building. It is essential to install fire doors, partitions, and gates in strictly defined places, as the set of measures aimed at preventing the spread of fire from one room to another.

Such doors can be mounted as external or internal structures, in residential, public and industrial facilities, shopping malls, sports placements, etc. - in places provided by the project and the requirements of the Inspector from the appropriate office. When flames and smoke spread, fire doors and partitions do not play the main role, but their placement gives people the necessary extra minutes to evacuate, increasing the chance of being safe.

In accordance with the regulations, the objects of installation of fire doors are defined as: schools, hospitals, offices, hotels, enterprises, premises with a high fire hazard, escape routes, utility lines (electrical), etc.

Fire-proof gates

Fire-resistant gates are produced in the following kinds of design: swing (hinged), sliding, roll-up, retractable, sectional. The type of these fire barriers depends on the availability of free space on the side and above the opening and must be thought over at the design stage of the construction. Each design has its own assembly features and the required free space. Also take into account the weight of fire protection structures, as the installation of the gate may require metal preparation of the opening. Not always builders follow the drawings and set fire curtains according to the project. Sometimes, it is economically and technically feasible to replace the type of barrier with another one with the same fire resistance characteristics.

Fire and smoke curtains

Existing fire protection systems must be effective and harmoniously fit into the interior of the premises. Textile fire protection combines aesthetics and functionality, allowing for an open-plan concept despite strict fire regulations. If there are rules requiring a building to be divided into fire compartments, or large smoke barriers are required, then fire and smoke curtains will be the optimal solution for fire protection that does not violate the architectural and conceptual solutions of the premises. It is precisely such fire and smoke protection curtains, as well as textile smoke protection shutters, are presented by RealDoors. A wide range of designs, which is fully suited to the application case, provide an almost invisible integration into complex and open architectural concepts. We take into account various options for the installation of such structures, even shielding areas with round or corner sections.

Due to their efficiency and small overall dimensions, fire and smoke protection structures can be used even in libraries and archives, to minimize fire damage and maximize the preservation of material values.

Fire and smoke curtains are widely used in offices, various industries and enterprises, warehouses, parking lots, museums, libraries, shopping malls and entertainment complexes, etc.

Fire pipe barriers

Problems with fire dampers for air conditioning systems in conveying processes and transporting explosive dust, at this stage in Ukraine, are not settled. Real Doors is the first to offer fire protection for pneumatic conveying and dust extraction lines in which the closing elements are not exposed to the conveyed flow. In this way, damage or contamination of the closing element by the transported abrasive materials is prevented.

Pipe baffles for materials up to 700 °C without obstructing the flow

Pipe baffles for pneumatic transport lines that do not interfere with the traffic flow

Fire-fighting non-standard obstructions

The variety of production and logistics processes requires different types of conveyor systems. When parts of a conveyor pass through fire-resistant walls or ceilings, the openings necessary for this must be provided with appropriate fire seals to prevent the spread of fire through conveyor equipment or transported goods. In the event of a fire, the shutters of the conveyor system must close these openings immediately and automatically. For ZKS, it is important to smoothly release the locking zones when the shutters actuate.

Fire Ver. 1

Guillotine doors with technological cutouts are designed for conveyor systems (belt, roller, chain). The segmented elements of the fabric ensure a tight fit to the conveyor system. The guillotine door panels feature a robust multi-layer construction, covered with sheet metal on all sides. A variety of door designs make it easy to implement individual customer solutions.

Fire Ver. 2

Gates with revolving doors. Horizontally rotating gate leaves require very little space in the lintel area and are therefore an alternative to conventional sliding gate designs. Fire Ver. 2 meets the requirements of classifications from EI 30 to EI 120 and EW 240 (aerated concrete). The flap has a very stable sandwich construction and is completely covered by a sheet metal cover. Fire Ver. 2 is suitable for continuous and separate conveyor systems such as baggage conveyors. The automation of gates with revolving leaves is adjusted individually, and the shape of the gate can be designed according to customer requirements.

Fire Ver. 3

The shutters of the conveyor system in the form of a curtain, are a textile roll-up sheet that does not require much space. The shutter closes vertically from top to bottom and is suitable for very large openings. It is designed for discontinuous and separate conveyor systems such as belt, roller and chain conveyors. These valves meet the requirements of fire resistance classes E 90 and EW 60. When sprinklers are installed, the fire resistance class can be increased to EI 90.

Fire Ver. 4

The compact fire damper is designed for conveyor systems with a limited opening and is made in the form of a double-leaf swing door. The valve has two built-in semi-circular bushings that enclose and seal the continuous rails and tires of the conveyor system. Thermal separation of the rails is not required. The doors can be opened manually or electrically. Fire Ver. 4 is suitable for continuous belt, roller and overhead chain conveyors, but especially for electric monorails, ring conveyors and Power&Free systems.

Fire Ver. 5

It is a reliable and secure door solution for ring conveyors and Power & Free systems. The system seals continuous ring conveyors with inflatable sleeves and is also suitable for sealing multiple conveyor sections. The slider is a sandwich structure surrounded on all sides by sheet metal, which makes it very durable. Very convenient for transportation and easy to install - Fire-Ver. 5 is supplied in compact and easy to assemble segments.

Fire Ver. 6

It is a compact modular design conveyor system gate for split and continuous conveying technology. The system requires only a small overlap on the wall around the opening. In the case of a discontinuous transport system, only a very small interruption of the conveyor system (split point) is sufficient due to the minimum thickness of the sliding blade. Slider surface finish options range from the economical basic variant of raw fire protection panels to emulsion paint, high quality galvanized steel sheet cladding (optionally powder coated or stainless steel) of the slider surface.

Fire Ver. 7

This is a new generation of quick-closing gates for smoke protection of conveyor systems. Fire Ver. 7 provides high speed - about 1.2 m / s, class DH 120 (ETK) and confirmed by the number of cycles B5. The system is pre-assembled and ready to be screwed to the hoods on site.

Fire Ver. 8

Universal ceiling sealant Fire-Ver. 8 is a rugged sliding design for space-saving installation on ceilings and floors. Areas of application are, for example, fire protection of floor lifts and induction shafts. The system is designed for sealing load-bearing supports and load-bearing elements using enclosing sleeves. Depending on the installation situation of Fire-Ver. 8 may consist of one or more parts. An elevator shaft cover is not required. Fire Ver. 8 meets the requirements of fire resistance class T 90.

Fire Ver. 9

Fire Ver system. 9. space-creating system is suitable for large continuous or separate floor conveyors up to 30 m in circumference and up to 8 m high. The system does not require supports and thus allows an unrestricted view of the conveyor process. The floor conveyor remains easily accessible for maintenance and repair. Fire Ver. 9 leaves a lot of freedom for customized solutions - rectangular base areas as well as closed or open polygons can be implemented.

Fire Ver. 10

The system is designed for intermittent (discontinuous) and separate conveyor systems. It can be used for both very large openings and openings with a low jumper. Fire Ver. 10 is made of ornamented fabric. Compact and very durable sheet metal canvas, when opened, is placed in the drum in the jumper area. Fire Ver. 10 meets the requirements of fire resistance classes from EI 30 to EI 120.

Fire Ver. 11

Thanks to the foam sealing system, there is no need to clean the closing area with non-combustible transported goods. There are no movable dividing elements in this system, which means that little space is required on the stiffening wall. The hose meets the requirements of fire resistance class EI 90 according to DIN EN 1634-1 with the transported material "conveyor for fully filled bottles".

Important!

When it comes to fire protection, don't skimp. By planning structural fire protection measures in advance, unforeseen additional costs can be reduced.

Avoid dubious solutions and reduce assembly time! Often, firefighting starts too late. The sooner fire protection requirements are clear, the sooner they can be addressed in the design and construction phases, saving significant time and money. Unfavorable installation conditions due to design limitations or parallel work increase installation time and therefore increase costs. In addition, if economical standard solutions are not suitable, then more expensive special designs have to be used. Consideration should also be given to the location of control cabinets, control elements and cable routes. Then it is possible to avoid additional costs for materials and installation work.

Be sure to compare the fire protection requirements within the legal provisions with the planned or existing fire protection concept. Find out what the main options you have to take into account are, when choosing possible gates for conveyor systems. In some cases, it is more expedient to prefer an inexpensive standard solution to an expensive special design. Pay attention to what conveyor technology is planned, how much space you have in the installation area and what quality of the walls is. Plan construction activities well in advance so that good assembly conditions would considerably reduce installation time.
